Color Drain FAQ

Color Drain is an oddly satisfying paint-cleaning puzzle game for mobile, made by RDD Labs, an indie game studio in Ashdod, Israel. Drag the vacuum nozzle across 3D low-poly city dioramas, drain every drop of paint and race the timer for up to three stars, chapter by chapter. Built in Unity, playable offline.

Yes. Color Drain has been free on Google Play since 7 October 2026 (Android 8.0 and up) and on the App Store since 14 October 2026 (iOS 15 and up, iPhone), where it is called Color Drain: Paint Rescue. The store buttons at the top of this page lead straight to it.

Yes. Every level and every chapter is free, with no energy system and no wait timers. The game contains ads (rewarded videos you choose to watch and an ad between some levels, which the No-Ads Pass removes) and optional in-app purchases.

Android phones running Android 8.0 or newer, and iPhones running iOS 15 or newer. The game is in English for now; Spanish, Portuguese and Indonesian arrive with version 2.3.12. Every level plays offline.

From Google Play on Android, and from the App Store on iPhone. Both downloads are free, and the store buttons on this page open the listings. Color Drain is not offered in every country yet.

It is the same game. Color Drain: Paint Rescue is the name of its App Store listing for iPhone; on Google Play it is listed as Color Drain. The App Store currently shows the developer as Dary Akerman, one of the two co-founders of RDD Labs.

Color Drain has 200 levels in 20 chapters, across two worlds that each end with a boss: Rainbow City ends with Baron Blank’s three-phase Siphon at level 100, and the Golden Dunes end with Viscountess Drab at level 200. Android and iPhone have the same 200 levels: on iPhone they came with version 2.3.10. The plan is a boss every 100 levels, on the road to level 1000.
